Juan Santaló is Professor of Strategy and Vice-Rector of Faculty and Research at IE University, Spain. His research focuses on competitive strategy, digital platforms, firm boundaries, and the strategic implications of technological change. He currently leads MANAGSCOPE, a research project investigating how digitalization and the emergence of platform markets reshape firm scope and organizational boundaries. His research has been published in leading academic journals, and he serves on the Editorial Board of the Strategic Management Journal and on the Executive Committee of the Strategic Management (STR) Division of the Academy of Management. In his leadership role at IE University, he oversees faculty development, research strategy, and initiatives aimed at strengthening academic excellence and research impact.
