Prof Leisa Sargent

Professor Leisa Sargent is the Dean of the University of Sydney Business School, recognised as a senior academic leader with over 30 years’ experience in higher education across Australia, Canada, and the United States. She is recognised for her advancements in educational innovation and research, and for embedding equity, diversity, and inclusion as core institutional strength. Leisa serves as a Board Member for the United Nations PRME and as Chair of Digital Sydney, actively contributing to the University’s digital transformation. Her leadership extends to previous roles as Co–Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) and Senior Deputy Dean at UNSW, and Head of School at the University of Melbourne. A nationally awarded educator and internationally regarded scholar, she is committed to collaborating with government, industry, and community partners to address critical economic, environmental, and social challenges.
