Professor LU Chun is Vice-President of City University of Hong Kong and Executive President of CityUHK (Dongguan). He obtained a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore. Professor Lu has demonstrated exceptional leadership in the field of higher education and has received international academic recognition and accolades, such as the Gold award in the Singapore High-Performance Computing Competition.
Professor Lu has held various distinguished positions, including Vice-President and Chief Administrative Officer at Southern University of Science and Technology; Principal Engineer at the Institution of Engineers, Singapore; Senior Researcher and Director of the Large-Scale Complex Systems Research Division at the Singapore Centre for High Performance Computing; Adjunct Professor at the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University; and Assistant to the President, Director of Asia-Pacific Cooperation, and Director of International Projects at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia. Professor Lu is one of the few outstanding individuals who have been involved in the founding process of two new universities, giving him extensive experience in building world-class universities.
