Prof Michael Scott

Michael leads at Warwick across international student recruitment, student experience, educational opportunities, research collaboration, and the development of Warwick’s global partnership network.

Since taking up the post in September 2023, Michael has led the development and implementation of a new international strategy at Warwick, enabling the strong enhancement of the University’s global network; research projects shortlisted for THE International Collaboration of the Year (2025); and the University winning UKCISA Institution of the Year (2025) for its international student recruitment, experience and community programmes. Since September 2025, Michael has also been institutional lead for the University’s performance in global rankings, as well as for the development of its TNE portfolio, with the University’s first-ever institutional TNE strategy as a result recently approved.  He is an ancient historian; National Teaching Fellow; has published widely with both academic and trade presses; and has presented a wide range of television, radio and podcast series across UK, US and Australia.
