Prof Mohammad Ibrahim Al-Zakari, is a Professor of Computer and Educational Design and E- Learning, as well as President of the Arab Open University.
Al-Zakari holds a master's degree from the Ohio State University in the design and technology of education and a PhD in computer science, educational design and e-learning from Kansas State University in Manhattan. He also has an electronic training course from Harvard University in Learning to Understand. Al-Zakari held positions as the UNESCO Chair for Quality in Higher Education, Supervisor of Information Technology Department at Imam University and Director of the Follow-up Unit of the Arab Open University of His Highness Prince Talal Bin Abdul Aziz, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Open University as well as Rector of the Arab Open University in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Al-Zakari worked for more than 15 years in the field of educational quality and evaluation of the performance of higher education institutions, review the description of academic programs and courses. He has also participated in more than 50 training courses and 10 training courses of trainers in the areas of academic accreditation and academic leadership and strategic planning in Higher Education - Instructor in e-learning, strategic planning, quality, accreditation, academic leadership and characterisation of programs and courses in higher education.
