Prof Wahab Olasupo Egbewole

Professor Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN assumed office as the 11th ViceChancellor, University of Ilorin on October 16, 2022.

Egbewole is a Professor of Jurisprudence and International Law, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and a member of Body of Benchers. He is the Chairman of consortium of universities in Kwara State, known as KU8+, Chairman, Steering Committee of Association of West Africa Universities (AWAU), and Vice-President (West Africa), Association of African Universities (AAU).Prof. Egbewole, SAN, is a prolific and consistent researcher, as demonstrated by his robust publication profile.Prof. Egbewole delivered the 139th Inaugural Lecture of the University of Ilorin, entitled “Judex: Hope for the Hopeful and the Hopeless” on Thursday, November 28, 2013. Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole is a cerebral and multidisciplinary scholar who is never shy about sharing his ideas when the occasion demands it.Prof. Egbewole has so distinguished himself that his academic and legal skills have been sought after by local and international establishments.
