Renato García

Renato Garcia is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Economics, University of Campinas (Unicamp), Brazil. His research focuses on the economics of innovation, innovation systems, university–industry relations, and regional development. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Brazilian Journal of Innovation and President of the Brazilian Association of Industrial and Innovation Economics (ABEIN). He is also a member of the Community Board of the Fourth Generation University initiative, coordinated by Elsevier, which examines the role of universities in their regional innovation ecosystems. At Unicamp, he has contributed to institutional discussions on academic indicators, university rankings, institutional reputation, and scientific and technological performance.
