Sargis Hayotsyan

Sargis Hayotsyan holds the position of the Chairman of the RA MESCS Higher Education and Science Committee (former Science Committee) since 2020, responsible for the implementation of the objectives of the Committee in the sphere of strategic planning and state policy development in the fields of higher education and science․

Sargis Hayotsyan was born on 26 November, 1984 in Yerevan.

Having completed Bachelor studies at the Department of Chemistry of Yerevan State University at 2007, Sargis Hayotsyan holds a PhD in Chemical Science at the Scientific and Technological Center of Organic and Pharmaceutical Chemistry of the NAS RA since 2010. Dr. Hayotsyan has a 16-years' experience both as a researcher with a particular expertise in Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry and Chromatography, as well as a lecturer, and author of school curriculum for a Chemistry course.

In 2016, Sargis Hayotsyan joined the Higher Education and Science Committee (former State Committee of Science) of the MESCS RA as a Chief Specialist and, later on, as the Head of the Division for Organizing Scientific Expertise, contributing to the elaboration and implementation of national policy in the field of scientific and technical expertise.
