Sayasat Nurbek has served as Kazakhstan’s Minister of Science and Higher Education since June 2022.
He has extensive experience in public policy, education and government leadership, having previously served as a Member of Parliament, President of the Center for International Programs and Director of the National School of Public Policy. He has also held senior positions at the Astana International Financial Centre and Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund. Nurbek studied in Kazakhstan, the United States and Italy, and has undertaken professional training internationally.
