Taylor Maag

Taylor Maag is Director of Workforce Policy at Jobs for the Future (JFF), where she leads federal and state efforts to strengthen the nation’s workforce and expand pathways to economic opportunity. She conducts research, develops actionable policy solutions, and convenes key partners to drive systems change that helps to ensure jobseekers and workers can access and advance in good jobs.Before rejoining JFF, Taylor served as Director of Workforce Development Policy at the Progressive Policy Institute (PPI), where she led the organization’s workforce policy division and launched New Skills for a New Economy, a national initiative to advance policies that better support workers without four-year degrees. Taylor began her career in direct service as a therapeutic behavioral coach at New Alternatives in San Diego, providing in-home support to children and young adults experiencing trauma and poverty - an experience that continues to inform her people-centered approach to policy.
