Tom O'Brien

Tom O’Brien is Manager, Strategy and Partnerships, Americas, at The University of Queensland (UQ). In this role, he advances UQ’s engagement across the Americas by managing key institutional partnerships and initiatives that extend the University’s global reputation and impact. Previously, Tom was Study Australia Partnership Manager at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), where he led national education initiatives involving the Australian Government, state and territory governments, education providers and international partners. Prior to joining Austrade, Tom held senior roles at the Australian Government Department of Education, advancing international education and research cooperation with partner governments. Tom holds a Master of International Education from the University of Sydney.
