Valarie Kite is the Executive Director of Assessment and Curriculum at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where she oversees curriculum development and academic assessment initiatives across more than 100 academic programs at SCAD's global locations and learning modalities. With over 15 years of experience in higher education assessment, curriculum development, institutional effectiveness, and accreditation, she has developed innovative assessment frameworks and built industry partnerships in emerging sectors such as applied AI and robotics for the development of future-forward curriculum. Valarie has presented at both national and international conferences on topics including industry readiness, best practices in assessment frameworks, and curriculum innovation. She is currently pursuing her EdD in Organizational Learning and Leadership at UNC Chapel Hill, where her doctoral research focuses on redefining general education curriculum and assessment for an AI-augmented workplace.
