Dr Wang Chenglu

As a prominent leader in China's software industry, Dr. Wang Chenglu actively engages in the research and development of domestic foundational software technologies, focusing on building the OpenHarmony open source project. He leads the team in creating KaihongOS and KaihongOS Meta based on OpenHarmony, empowering numerous industries and promoting the digitization and intelligence upgrade of the industry.

In 1998, Dr. Wang joined Huawei and held various important positions such as President of the Core Network Product Line, President of the Central Software Institute, President of the CBG Software Department, and President of the CBG AI and Intelligent Full-Scene Department during his 24 years at Huawei. Leveraging his extensive experience in software research and management, Dr. Wang spearheaded the development of HarmonyOS in May 2016. In June 2021, he represented Huawei in the global release of HarmonyOS 2. In May 2022, Dr. Wang left Huawei and formally joined Shenzhen Kaihong Digital Industry Development Co., Ltd.
