QS Product and Research Advisor

Wesley is a specialist in strategies and policies for promoting countries as study destinations, especially across the EHEA. He has extensive experience with international student recruitment activities and events, both online and offline. At QS, his main scope is revealing the impact of the latest global higher education trends on our World University Rankings. Wesley holds a BA in International Relations from the Damas Faculty of Christian Instruction, Brazil and an MA in International Public Affairs from the University of Bucharest, Romania.

Dr Ashwin Fernandes
Chair, QS India and Vice President, Strategic and International Engagement

During his professional engagement, Dr Fernandes has met with senior leaders from the region and is often invited to speak at several conferences and events on university rankings, ratings, education, higher education etc. He has been a panellist on various discussion forums and presented his recommendations on thought provoking topics related to higher education. Dr Fernandes championed the need for an independent rankings framework for the Arab Region and hence was instrumental in developing the QS Arab Region University Rankings in 2014/15. He also founded India’s first nationwide private sector evaluation framework called QS I-GAUGE.
