Yet many universities are still developing the governance structures, leadership capabilities, and ethical frameworks needed to manage AI at scale. This session explores how university leaders are establishing policies, managing risk, building AI fluency, and creating cultures of responsible innovation while maintaining trust among faculty, students, and stakeholders.

Dr. Maria Spies is Co-Founder of HolonIQ, the world’s leading research and intelligence platform for the future of education, and Chief Innovation Officer at QS Quacquarelli Symonds, where she leads the Innovation Practice, supporting universities in digital transformation and AI integration through tools such as the AI Capability Framework.
