QS Reputation Manager: Universidad Metropolitana Venezuela

Miriam Benhayon, Dean of Research and Academic Development at Universidad Metroplitana Venezuela

It has saved time, improved accuracy, and allowed us to both engage – and track that engagement – more effectively.

We spoke with Miriam Benhayon, Dean of Research and Academic Development at Universidad Metropolitana Venezuela about their experience using QS Reputation Manager.

Why did you choose to use QS Reputation Manager, and how has it helped you overcome previous challenges in managing academic and employer contacts?

We chose QS Reputation Manager to enhance our global visibility and streamline data-driven decision-making.

Previously, we managed academic and employer contacts manually in Excel – a process that was time-consuming, error-prone, and hard to scale as our network grew. Replacing this with a single, centralised platform has saved time, improved accuracy, and allowed us to both engage – and track that engagement – more effectively.

What was your experience getting started with the platform, and what has made it work well for your team?

The implementation was very well supported. The team provided clear training and responsive assistance, which helped our staff adopt the platform quickly. Since then, strong ongoing support, ease of use, and the ability to centralise complex data have all contributed to a successful and productive partnership.

What do you see as the most important elements of effective reputation management, and what are you focusing on right now to strengthen yours?

The key aspects of reputation management are accurate data, strategic storytelling, strong academic and employer partnerships, and ranking performance. Tools like QS Reputation Manager help us streamline these priorities.

To put these into practice, we’re focusing on three main areas:

  • Highlighting institutional strengths through targeted dissemination of research outputs and global benchmarking
  • Strengthening ties with corporate partners to improve graduate outcomes and align programmes with labour market needs
  • Optimising our online presence and stakeholder communications using data-driven insights from platforms like QS Reputation Manager

Would you recommend QS Reputation Manager to others and why?

Yes, we recommend it for its centralised data management, actionable insights, and time-saving automation – key for institutions focused on strategic reputation growth.

Looking ahead, we plan make even greater use of QS Reputation Manager’s network-mapping capabilities to strengthen academic collaborations both regionally and globally, and to boost the visibility and impact of our joint research initiatives.
