QS World University Rankings – Top Tweets 2015 (so far)

The release of this year’s QS World University Rankings has caused a great deal of excitement and activity across social media channels; the most active being Twitter.

Universities and news outlets around the world have been posting and tweeting about the results of this year’s rankings, mostly with a healthy mix of excitement and pride.

MIT

As the No. 1 university listed in the QS World University Rankings for the fourth year running, MIT has a lot to be proud of.

University of Southampton

The University of Southampton was also proud and excited of its success in this year’s rankings, rising up 13 places to 81.

LSE

One of our biggest climbers this year – in fact, our biggest climber by far – was the London School of Economics and Social Sciences. They rocketed up the rankings this year and were also ranked second in the world for social sciences.

News 24

The QS World University Rankings were a hot news item, especially in countries that saw their prominent universities rising up through this year’s rankings. News 24, a 24-hour online news service in from South Africa, tweeted about the success of their Stellenbosch Univeristy.

ABS-CBN News

ABS-CBN, a news network in the Philippines, tweeted about the appearance of no less than four Philippine universities in the QS World University Rankings, with the University of the Philippines (UP) placing the highest.

UniNews 24

The Italian university news site UniNews 24 also posted about the QS World University Rankings, tweeting about MIT’s success and that of its own Politecnico di Milano.

P’Dome

The QS World University Rankings were even a hot topic of conversation with education bloggers over in Thailand, proudly sharing the placement of several Thai universities in this year’s rankings.

Auckland Business School

It’s been incredibly exciting to see the reach of this year’s QS World University Rankings, with universities and institutions around the world tweeting about their results. Auckland University was tweeting their joy from the other side of the globe about being ranked the best New Zealand university.

King Khalid University

We’ve seen a host of universities tweeting about their rankings result in their own languages, including King Khalid University in Saudi Arabia tweeting in Arabic.

Universitat de Barcelona

Universitat de Barcelona triumphantly tweeted about remaining the number one university in Spain; holding its position steady at 166, safely in the top 200 universities in the world.
